Power Platform, with its suite of tools like Power Apps and Power Automate, empowers organizations to build efficient solutions. However, ensuring optimal performance is crucial to providing a seamless user experience. In this blog post, we’ll explore ten performance tips to help you make the most out of the Power Platform.

1. Usage of Concurrent Functions

The Concurrent function is a powerful tool for improving app performance. It allows you to evaluate multiple formulas simultaneously, reducing waiting times for users. It’s particularly useful in the OnStart property of an app when loading data. Remember that formulas within the Concurrent function should not depend on each other within the same Concurrent function.

2. Control Optimization – Reduce Number of Controls

Avoid adding an excessive number of controls to your app, as each control increases generation time. Instead, use the Gallery control for repetitive scenarios or create reusable components to reduce control count.

3. Limit Data Connections

Keep the number of connections in your app under 30. Each connector consumes CPU, memory, and network resources. Monitor your app’s performance by enabling Developer Tools in your browser.

4. PowerApps Components

Leverage PowerApps components to create reusable controls that can be used across screens. Components streamline your app’s design and improve performance and consistency.
