At Marra we all share a love of technology. What drives us is our shared belief that technology should be accessible for everyone.
Our team is active in the local community and strives to attract greater diversity into tech. Our partnerships include TechUK, TechNExt, Women in Tech North East, Smartworks Newcastle and TechUp Durham.
Our hybrid working practice combines core office hours with work from anywhere days. This creates clarity and structure for the team via our day-to-day operating model, and the freedom to support their priorities outside of their job with Marra.

Meet Jo
As Marra’s Chief Operating Officer, Jo leads the business end to end with key responsibilities across operations and commercial. On any given day, you’ll find her speaking with clients, deep in a spreadsheet, or driving company strategy forward.
After progressing to senior leadership roles at Accenture, Jo brings a wealth of experience to support Marra’s growth. She is a passionate advocate for creating accessible pathways into tech and is deeply committed to building a strong and inclusive company culture.

Meet Ryan
As Chief Technology Officer, Ryan leads Marra’s technical capability. Day to day, he provides technical governance across projects, drives the strategy across emerging technologies such as AI, and supports the ongoing growth and capability of the tech team.
With over 13 years’ experience in software consultancy, Ryan brings deep expertise across full-stack web and mobile development. He is driven by delivering high-quality software, continuous learning, and practical problem-solving — particularly when helping clients untangle technical debt, modernise legacy systems, and land on the right solutions to move their business forward.

Meet Steph
As Chief Delivery Officer, Steph leads Marra’s client engagement function. She is closely involved in pre-sales, helping shape the right approach for each client’s needs, while also ensuring Marra’s internal delivery processes remain robust and effective.
With over 20 years’ experience working in technology, across industries, Steph brings deep expertise in delivery management, digital transformation, and end-to-end programme leadership. This is reflected in Marra’s Centre of Excellence, which she built from the ground up — championing strong governance, security as a non-negotiable, and a mindset of continuous improvement.

Meet Gary
As Executive Chairman, Gary provides strategic guidance and support to Marra’s continued growth.
With over 30 years of experience across business and technology, Gary is the founder and Chair of Scott Logic and a former Executive Director at Lehman Brothers. He is deeply passionate about social mobility and established Marra to create alternative routes into the technology sector. Gary also founded the Altitude Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting underprivileged young people across the North East of England.

Headquartered in Tyne and Wear, Marra, is a slang word for a mate or friend.
Our region has a rich history in innovation and is a home for technological revolution. Marra is a much-loved word, used in northern England and gained popularity when it was adopted by the ex-coal mining communities.
Marra has a strong partnership with sister company, Scott Logic. With over 20 years in the industry and a workforce of 500, Scott Logic enables us to rapidly deploy cross-functional teams and offer technology beyond the Power Platform. With seven offices, including London and Edinburgh, they are our reciprocal collaborators, critical friends and mentors. Definitely more than just our Marra!
